Hi all,
Thought I'd add this Blog for my own records and to share information to you all. I have just returned from a great week at the Tour of Gippsland with The guys from Budget Forklifts , Ryan Macanally, Andy Christie, Jake Kajnblat and others. We had a great time sorting a few things out for Ryan and fitting the Schnell wheels to his bike 30 mins before the start of Stage 1. We are glad he loved them. Ryan was so Impressive on this Tour.. "Mark my words WATCH OUT FOR RYAN MACANALLY..! This guy will go places...!
I met his Mum and Dad (great people) who came down from Qld to Cheer him on . Great to see a Family at an event like this showing support. Ryan got a couple of podiums and a couple of 4ths... Well done.! and he did it solo.
I stayed with and helped out (where i could) Budget Forklifts . These guys are great and are a well oiled Machine. So much passion and respect in this Team not to mention great talent! Michael Cupitt ended up with a 3rd in GC. A Team effort to get him there with all the boys putting everthing in to place him where he needed to be. So great to watch listen and learn from Jezza and the boys. Thanks for a great week guys and we are happy that the SCHNELL Wheels are going well.
Poor Andy Got a flat and was riding in an unfamiliar Team and I think found it hard to support and get supported with a Team he has never riden with. Great work all the same I have so much respect for all of the 160+ riders on this tour. Amazing talent and dedication. Well done to you all. Genesis dominated but I think was surprised with some of the new talent coming through.
I will add more later. I just got back to melb and drove 700km today on 4 hours sleep. not Ideal but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. Cheers Karl
