From that very first bike and the freedom it provided, the rush, the thrill. Only a cyclist can understand that feeling! We are now very passionate about our exciting carbon composite wheels. We are manufacturing the best carbon rims available using Toray Carbon and premium high temperature resins utilizing aerospace technology . We build our wheels with our own Schnell branded hubs or CHRIS KING hubs in both Shimano and Campy.! Including Shimano 11 speed .....NOW HERE...!
The reason we have selected these hubs is that we have tested them very thoroughly and have had fantastic results in a broad range of conditions.
Including a whole NRS season (20,000+ km) without being serviced! I'd like to indicate although it's not advisable to neglect servicing your hubs. We wanted to proove a point and test the durability of our product.
The hubs selected by SCHNELL all have upgraded high speed / Low friction bearings fitted.! We don't skimp on quality.! We don't charge extra for a bearing we consider to be better, we supply it to you in our wheel sets as standard equipment.! We build with premium spokes and use DT Swiss, Sapim CX-Ray, Pillar and others.

The bearings used in this demo are steel and not ceramic. Our aim to supply you with the best available quality products at a very realistic price.

We had a meeting with Bryce Lindores in France while he was on a training program.
Bryce wasn't happy with other brands of carbon wheels they had tried. They were concerned that other countries may have an advantage if they could not find a wheel strong enough to handle their weight and power output. At SCHNELL we tried a few combinations and came up with the Podium 60 Front with a Kona 88 Rear. We used a thicker Pillar spoke in the rear and increased the thickness of carbon in the rim nipple bed. After a few days on these wheels the boys were ecstatic with the results. It's now up to you boys.! Our work is done!
